Suzanne & Anthony's Photo-booth

On Saturday July 19th I was lucky enough to photograph and old family friends wedding. Suzanne's parents and my parents have been friends for years and we spent a good part of our lives growing up together, sweating at swim meets and creating hilarious memories that are unforgettable. Barb and Frank are Suzanne's parents and just the most fun and caring people you could meet. Over the past year they have provided my parents with everything we could ask for and more from trips to the Dr's. to dropping by for a visit and most importantly for all their laughter they have brought to all of us. We are lucky enough to be vacationing with them next week as well!
Anyway, enough about that... for it really was Suzanne's day... yes that's right Katie, it was about SUZANNE! I photographed Katie and Marc's wedding two years ago and was honored to do the same for her little sis.
Suzanne looked stunning, she is a beautiful girl to start, but she really looked good. I looked forward to photographing her because she is so animated and I knew I would catch some great moments... and I did, but you'll have to wait to see them!
Suz & Anthony decided they wanted to do a photo booth session at the wedding and she got all sorts of props and fun things for their guests to play with and I just wanted to share the slide show of those with you now. I haven't even started on the rest of the photos but thought you would find these funny and could tied everyone over until the real thing!

Alicia & David's Wedding

On Saturday July 12th Sandra photographed Alicia & David's wedding at Fantasia in North Haven. I just got the photos from Sandra and it looks like everyone had an awesome time, and Alicia looked beautiful, and David handsome as well! Although a hot and humid day the photos turned out great and the guests seem to have had a blast. To check out their photos visit their page and for click to watch the slide show. Kim & Billy's Wedding

Although this was Sandra's wedding I went for a bit and captured some moments too and I thought I would share my version with you in my slide show.
I am still working on retouching Sandra's photos and will have those up most likely when I get back from Aruba! Hope this will tide you over until then!

Rebecca and Steve's Engagment Session

Last weekend I met up with Rebecca and Steve to do their engagement shoot. We decided that we would meet at the top of Castle Craig and have awesome views... well as nature might have it, at the top of the mountain it was VERY windy and didn't want to cooperate with us, so we did get a few photos on top but then went down to Hubbard park to finish up the shoot.
Rebecca and Steve were awesome to shoot. I told them that they are the best "have a moment" people I have ever photographed, and they really are. They were ALL about gazing into each other eyes and just being lovey, it was so cute to see and fun to photograph. Clearly some of these photos show some moments. Kristen & Paul's Wedding

I'm sorry I didn't post this sooner, but I left for vacation right after this event filled weekend... so here's the update....On Friday, June 27th I met Kristen at her parent's house and we began the start of an awesome day. I met with Kristen last fall and we instantly clicked. I had looked forward to her wedding all summer, and it came and went so fast!
The weather was hot and humid, but that didn't stop anyone! The bridal party was wonderful. They were so cooperative and so easy to work with.
With no time in between the church and the reception we had to use cocktail hour to do the photos and they were ready as soon as we arrived at Cascade. Kristen and Paul were awesome, Kristen was absolutely gorgeous...wouldn't you agree?!
Sandra and I had a great time as did the rest of the guests. At the reception I had time to catch up with an old friend and cousin of the bride, Kate, and Stephanie and Anthony, who are getting married next year. Kristen and Paul honeymooned in Hawaii and I can't wait to hear all about it. Hope you enjoy some photos, a slide show to follow sometime soon :)

1st Anniversary!!!!!!!

Yesterday marked a very important date... my first wedding anniversary! It's crazy to think that a year has gone by so quickly. There were so many wonderful things that happened this year, of course getting married being the best highlight, and of course lot's of not so good things, but despite it all the year flew!
On Sunday night Mike and I went back to the Goodwin and celebrated the promise that we made to eachother one year ago. We stayed in a beautiful room and enjoyed champagne and some relaxing time before we headed to dinner at Max Downtown. We had a wonderful dinner which was so relaxing and so wonderful to just recap the last year, we sat there for over 3 hours! Thankfully the restaurant was slow and the wine was 1/2 price! :)
We woke up the next morning and enjoyed a great breakfast buffet, where James (who was our waiter for our tasting and our wedding) served us breakfast. We came home and put in a day of work followed by a nice dinner and then of course the traditional wedding cake. My mother in law had stored the cake topper the last year and surprisingly there was no freezer burn on it and to be quite honest it wasn't bad!
I have to admit that if every year goes by as quickly and easily as this one did, I can't comprehend why the divorce rate is so high! I guess it could just be that I found a perfect match :)
It has also been a year since my first blog post! Although no one writes any responses I have heard from quite a few people that you do read it, so someday when you feel comfortable... drop me a line!
I've been behind this computer since 7:00am. and working hard to show some more weddings so hopefully tomorrow there will be new updates!

A long few days behind the computer, but I have finished Carlo & Maureen's wedding. I posted on it earlier about how great it was so now I just wanted to share the slide show!

Playing Catch up

Well I've now been back for a few days and finally just getting around to updating my blog as I'm swamped with emails, phone calls etc. We had an awesome week on Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas... the week was filled with great weather, great food and drinks and fun with the family.
We sailed from Miami to San Juan, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. Mike and I had been to all of those before and found St. Maarten to be our favorite this time around as we created our own happy hour. Isn't it amazing that you can get a beer for $1.00 here we pay $4... some things just aren't fair! The weather was perfect on the trip, some days were a little overcast but it didn't rain so that's all that mattered :) One afternoon we took our littlest niece into the pool. She's only 6 months so wasn't sure what to make of it all, but she looked adorable in her bathing suit!!!!!! Mike and I also had a blast with our oldest niece. Mike got quite the workout with her hanging on him everyday in the pool, but he had a blast.
Since we have been home I finished Sara & Marc's wedding
I hope you guys enjoy the slide show and going through all the photos! This weekend I have Lisa & Chris's wedding. It seems like forever ago that we did their engagement photos and now the wedding is already here!
On Sunday my hubby and I will go back to the Goodwin Hotel to celebrate our ONE YEAR anniversary! I can't believe how quickly time flies. I'll update more later! Have a great day and enjoy the weather!
