Crazy Time of Year

What a crazy time of year November is... with all the holiday portraits and the rush to get the weddings done and ordered before the holidays, if anyone is ever looking for me... behind the computer is a sure spot to find me! As the majority of wedding season has wrapped up I have been hard at work trying to get those out the door and get the portraits under control... check out my children's page to see how many I just finished today... yikes!!!
http://www.kimberlylynnphotography.com/Children/children6.htm
There will be many more to follow so if you're interested, keep your eyes posted. I have also finished one more wedding since my last post which you can view... http://www.kimberlylynnphotography.com/weddings/100607/index.htm
I loved this wedding because it was the first time back to the Goodwin Hotel since my own wedding and it was great to see Jorge and the staff and just the beautiful place again, I really do love it there! Melissa & Chris had a beautiful day, super hot and super sunny but we went to the beach anyway and took some fun photos in an old truck and over looking the water.
Tonight I had my sister and her husband and their dog Maddie over to do some holiday photos... what a trip! This dog is a puppy boxer and is absolutely adorable but so wound up... my poor Maisey couldn't keep up with the punches Maddie threw or her energy!
Well off to bed so I can get another full day of retouching in tomorrow. Hope some of you could enjoy a day off today!

Keeping Busy

I really can't believe that we are approaching the end of October! The wedding season is coming to an end, only a few more left of the season, what will I do?! Don't get to concerned just yet I'm sure I will have plenty of things to do to keep me out of trouble!
This weather is crazy these days, wonder if we really will have a fall or just go straight to winter, either way the folliage is beautiful and I have been out shooting quite a bit of weddings, families and children to capture it all!
Some updates you should check out:
Missy & Johnny's wedding just went up this morning: http://www.kimberlylynnphotography.com/weddings/093007/index.htm
This wedding was in New Jersey at one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! It was thousands of acres of botanical gardens, you could have spent all day photographing there, unfortunately we didn't have that kind of time, but we did have time to capture the beauty and happiness of the couple and the grounds... take a look.
As always this time of year is filled with family and children portraits... check out the site to take a look.
The holiday seasons are usually filled with "Portrait Parties" which is a great way to have your childs photo taken in a casual, enviornment, with props of your choice. Basically every child has 15 minutes with me to photograph him or her in the comfort of the host's home. These typically work out very well and everyone seems to have a good time. If you would like more information on this please feel free to email me! kim@kimberlylynnphotography.com
Back to work, keep checking for updates!

So much to share!

I haven't posted in a while...you have to love the fall, double headers of wedding and sunday's filled with portraits, needless to say I've been busy and very hard at work here! I have had several weddings each week which have all be fun and beautiful in their own ways... and all of which are keeping me behind the computer whenever I'm not behind the camera.... having said that there is a lot that you can check out on the web!
First of all Robin and Nick's wedding is up (and has been but I never posted about it). Their wedding was at Rocky Neck State Park... have you ever been? It really is absolutely beautiful, the building itself was amazing, all brick and over looking the water... not what I expected for a "pavilion". Moving a long.... I also have posted Alison and Matt's photos from September 15th. Before we headed to the Glastonbury Hills Country Club we went to Elizabeth park where we were able to grab some great photos... check out their slide show...http://www.kimberlylynnphotography.com/weddings/091507/091507.html
I'm actively working on Missy and Johnny's on September 30th so check back shortly to see if that is done!
On the portrait side... check out the families page for all the new updates there... still plenty more to come as I have a few a week, sorry it's taking me a bit to post for those of you who are patiently waiting, I hopefully will have them up shortly! http://www.kimberlylynnphotography.com/families/index.htm
Now it's time get back to the retouching world! Hope you enjoy what is posted and more to follow :)

Kylle & Will's Engagement Photos

I had the honor of photographing one of my best friends engagement photos in Boston a few weeks ago.
Kylle and I have
been the best of friends since 3rd grade, and have remained friends ever since. Both Kylle and Will live in Boston, so it was a perfect location for the shoot. They are planning a September 6th wedding in a home away from home in Martha's Vineyard, a spot very special to Kylle and her family.
Since I am in the bridal party I will not be able to photograph all of their wedding so doing their engagement was very special to me.
We are all super excited for the wedding and all the fun festivities leading up to it.
Hope you enjoy the slide shows!

Erin and Dan are done!

I just finished putting up the slide show for Erin and Dan, what a cute couple and they just had so much fun both before and at their wedding. Sandra assisted me today, focusing on the guys who were also a lot of fun, be sure not to miss her slide show. Erin is so adorable, she had so much fun doing the pictures and I had a blast photographing her. She has such a contagious smile and she was a blast to work with. Their reception at the Farmington Club was beautiful, aside from the upsetting rain storm, the day was absolutely perfect! Check out their slide show

Kacey Rose

I just got around to put up Kacey Rose's slide show. My little girl, who next week turns 2, who is fighting for her life to beat the terrible disease of Cancer. She is the most adorable child who to me lives life like every other 2 year old, but what I don't see is the daily trips to the hospital and the monthly stays that she encounters while she fights for her life.
She is the strongest little girl I have yet to meet and she is such a joy to photograph, she has a spunky personality and wishes nothing more but for me to leave when I'm there, and some of the photos show that. She really is just a hoot.
As she undergoes her treatment, I ask all of you that are reading this to keep her in your thoughts and pray for her and her family that she may fight this disease soon and live a "normal" healthy life like every 2 year old should.
All my thoughts are with the family.

Susan & Ed - July 21, 2007

Susan and Ed got married on a beautiful hot summer day in Monroe CT at the Waterview. They had a beautiful ceremony outside on the patio which over looks the water, follwed by photos, cocktails and dancing with friends and family.
The couple was a lot of fun and up for all my ideas. The grounds at the Waterview were as always, stunning.

Kristen & Eric's Wedding

Eric and I have been friends since middle school so when he asked me to photograph his wedding I was honored and excited. We had grown apart slightly over the years and I was excited to see the love of his life and his family at this special occasion.
They chose to have their ceremony and reception at the newly built Riverhouse in East Haddam, CT. I had looked at this facility for my own wedding and loved everything about it, except the fact that it MIGHT not be done in time. Eric and Kristen were a little more gutsy than I and they took the chance, and it was worth it. The place is beautiful and very well run. Jim Bucko is the man in charge and he is just wonderful and Robin was the coordinator over there and was really just fantastic.
Kristen is an adorable girl who fits perfectly for my old friend Eric. They had the most beautiful day and their pictures showed it. Check the site soon to see more photos.

My first post

Hi everyone-
So I've decided to become a blogger :) I am very new to this so bare with me as I learn all the kinks, however I think you might enjoy comments about the events I attend, including my first post on my own wedding.
Mike and I have dated for over 4 years and in November he asked me to marry him. After 8 months of planning we got married on July 14, 2007 at the First Congregational Church in Cheshire, CT followed by photos in Elizabeth Park, and onto our reception at The Goodwin Hotel, in Hartford, CT.
We had the most amazing time at our wedding, everything was perfect from Jorge the coordinator making sure everything was perfect to John Assunto from A&B Entertainment who provided the best music to make our special day unforgettable.
We left for our honeymoon a week after the wedding where we flew first class to Cabo San Lucas and we stayed at the Riu Palace. It was just an amazing week, one we'll never forget- and a good thing we won't forget it because I lost my camera with all our photos on it while we were there!!!
We now live in Southington, CT with our dog and are enjoying living together and married life.
Hope you'll enjoy some of our wedding photos followed by other photos of your friends and family!
